Internship Overview
JusticeWorks offers a 10‑week internship in Hamilton County, OH focused on Child Welfare and Juvenile Justice. The program provides students with exposure to community‑based care, key practice areas, data management, outcome reporting, and ethical decision‑making.

Internship Experience

Observe practice across multiple child welfare and juvenile justice settings

Receive structured and monitored supervision

Gain exposure to evidence‑based practices and data‑management systems

Participate in outcome and output reporting

Complete specific training on community‑based care

Learn ethical decision making in a multidisciplinary environment

Shadow staff to acquire hands‑on knowledge

Develop an initial career plan and practice in a multidisciplinary setting

Requirements & Skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Highly organized with problem‑solving abilities

Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities

Proficient computer and internet skills

Comfortable working with a diverse population

Concern for others, self‑control, adaptability, cooperation, dependability, stress tolerance, integrity, attention to detail

Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and access to a vehicle

Available for evenings and weekends as needed

Willingness to share office space and work both independently and as part of a team

Duration
The internship lasts 10 weeks and is flexible to accommodate the needs of the university and the student.
