LOTO Technician

Job Description
Identify/shutdown/isolate all energy sources connected to the turbine
Apply locks and tags to switches/valves/breakers and verify each log/tag is documented and assigned appropriately
Test/confirm zero-state energy before work begins (checking voltage, pressure, rotation) and perform try-start tests to ensure isolation is effective
Communicate with turbine operators, maintenance teams, and control room staff
Issue and clear permits for work on turbines and generators
Monitor ongoing work/respond to emergencies or unexpected hazards
Skills and Requirements
Associates + education level (wants to see somewhat of a technical educational background but experience can outweigh education if they have enough)
3-5+ years of LOTO work on GAS TURBINES SPECIFICALLY
Need to know the mechanical and electrical sides of LOTO
Know what needs to be shut off/the LOTO process overall/the systems on the turbines
LOTO certifications (OSHA LOTO)
