Responsibilities for Travel RN
Travel to sites to assist with transitions and fill-in shifts as needed
Work under the mentorship of a Senior Vice President and Director of Jail Operations
Understand the principles and concepts of medical quality assurance and utilization review
Monitor and report on the quality of all facets of the medical care provided to patients
Gather clinical information to assess and expedite care needsConduct detailed clinical chart assessments including reviewing requests from providers regarding medical necessity of requested services for patients
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail and decision-making skills are essential
Qualifications for Travel RN
Hold and maintain a current, unrestricted Registered Nurse for Alabama
A valid CPR certification
Ability/willingness to seek licensure in other states
Quality assurance and utilization management experience preferred
Ability to travel (approximately 75%) to sites
