We are currently looking for a part‑time LPN to support the Primary Care Injection Room. Position is eligible for part‑time benefits including medical and dental insurance.
$3,000 HIRING BONUS for eligible candidates
Job Description
In this role at HealthPartners Clinic Stillwater, you are responsible for a variety of patient care duties and other related duties in the clinical setting that include documentation of medical information, administration of medications/vaccinations and treatments, as well as obtaining medical histories, vital signs, etc. The injection room LPN assists the healthcare providers in the timely delivery of services per physician/RN direction and according to Clinic policies and procedures. All programs and activities are designed to support the short‑ and long‑term mission, vision, goals, and objectives of HealthPartners Clinic Stillwater.
Responsibilities
Works within the scope of practice for licensure
Maintains current knowledge of immunotherapy, specialty medications and routine immunizations/injections
Administers immunotherapy, specialty medications, and routine immunizations using specific established procedures, policies, guidelines, and standards
Provides safe and effective patient care
Consistently greets and rooms patients in a timely manner
Organizes and makes adjustments as needed to daily schedule and ensures appointment access to patients
Performs Pre Visit Planning on all appointments, anticipating needs of the patient
Provides patient education to include potential signs/symptoms of side effects or reactions to medication administered at time of visit
Recognize patient's abnormalities or urgent problems and seek appropriate assistance
Functions as liaison between patients, nursing support staff and providers
Maintains clean and orderly work area
Maintains stock in injection room
Responsible for checking outdates for medications and ordering adequate supply of stock on hand
Consistently records clear and concise patient care documentation in EMR and reviews chart to ensure patient information is complete
May rotate among clinic locations
Maintains current OSHA, HIPPA and other mandatory training
Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Current LPN (MN and WI license required)
PLUS current CPR certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Preferred Qualifications
One year LPN experience in a clinic.
Experience with Epic electronic medical record software.
All candidates should have excellent verbal and written skills; excellent customer services skills; tact and diplomacy in interpersonal interactions with patients, families, and care team members; An ability to demonstrate compassion and caring in all interactions; Understanding of patient education needs, able to effectively share information with patient, family members and care team members as needed; Ability to learn, retain information regarding patient care procedures; Ability to plan, prioritize and complete delegated tasks; Ability to remain calm in stressful situation; Experience with EPIC preferred.
