Location: UHealth at SoLé Mia
Core Job Functions
Collects, inputs, and verifies prescription, refill, and patient information and maintains patient records.
Fills orders and prepares labels for unit doses and prepackaged pharmaceuticals.
Implements inventory control procedures and ordering supplies within regulatory guidelines. Anticipates pharmacy medication dispensing needs.
Responsible for hazardous, specialized, or advanced level compounding, which may include chemotherapy, epidural, ophthalmology, CADD pumps, and TPNs.
Serves as a Pharmacy Technician Coordinator, as needed. May also be cross trained in major department roles and responsibilities of a pharmacy technician.
Participates in a temporary taskforce/short-term committee.
Resolves problems related to prescription inquiries.
Performs the preceptor role in the training of students and onboarding of new pharmacy technicians.
Serves as a mentor or role model.
Stays abreast of advanced knowledge and proficient practice in pharmacy dispensing, medication dispensing systems, controlled substance distribution to floors, pre-packing and any other pharmacy technician duties.
Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

Core Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Certification and Licensing:
State of FL registration; Certification in relevant specialty or field.
Experience:
Minimum 4 Years Of Relevant Experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes
Skill in data entry with minimal errors.
Ability to accurately prepare and maintain records, files, reports and correspondence.
Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with professional composure.
Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
