In our dynamic Vascular Medicine team, you’ll play a key role in providing expert, compassionate care to patients with vascular conditions in an outpatient setting. As part of this collaborative and patient‑focused environment, our nurses support both clinical visits and specialized vascular procedures, helping patients achieve the best possible outcomes and quality of life.
What You’ll Do
Provide hands‑on nursing care for patients during outpatient visits and vascular procedures
Assist with and support procedures such as:
Sclerotherapy
Laser vein ablations
Phlebectomies
Deliver skilled care and education in our Wound Care Clinic
Prepare patients for procedures performed with oral anxiety medication only (no sedation)
Collaborate with an expert interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, seamless, and compassionate care

A caregiver in this position works Monday through Friday, 4×10‑hour shifts, 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting
Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage, and establish care plans
Administer medication and treatments
Initiate CPR and other emergency measures
Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings
Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures, and specialized patient care equipment
Develop, evaluate, adapt and document health education and provide it to patients and families
Cover other nursing roles within the department
May require travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures in various locations
Minimum qualifications
Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program)
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) Certification within six months of hire
One year of recent experience as an RN
OR LPN, Medical Assistant and/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience if applicant is a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in an ambulatory setting transferring into an RN role but remaining in the same current ambulatory Cleveland Clinic setting or a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in a clinical role within the same specialty area transferring into an ambulatory area
Preferred qualifications
Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Cardiology experience
Physical Requirements
Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity, and eye‑hand coordination
Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range
May require some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids
Light Work—exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects
Light Work rating applies when walking or standing to a significant degree, when sitting most of the time but involves pushing and/or pulling arm or leg controls, or when working at a production rate pace entailing constant pushing and/or pulling of materials with negligible weight
Personal Protective Equipment
Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required by procedure
Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $33.50
Maximum hourly: $53.40
