Job Purpose
This position will be responsible for providing excellent service to our customers in accordance with Peoples Bank policies, including opening deposit accounts, processing complex teller transactions, selling bank products, and resolving customer service issues. Sales and service functions are vital to help the branch meet its goals while delivering outstanding customer service.

Job Duties

Deliver superior customer service with a friendly demeanor and willingness to help at all times.

Develop and retain the customer base, greet customers, recognize account ownership, and respond promptly to correspondence and issues.

Maintain confidentiality of all customer business.

Receive checks and cash for deposit, verify amounts, and examine checks for endorsement and negotiability.

Process complex multi‑step teller transactions.

Research and offer solutions to resolve customer issues, and follow up with customers.

Initiate conversations to uncover customer needs, refer customers to appropriate associates, and meet referral goals.

Make sales calls via phone or Zoom on a weekly basis to meet branch calling goals and record activities in Salesforce.

Consistently meet or exceed sales referral goals as set by management and maintain a working knowledge of the full product line.

Maintain balancing and error records in line with policy, find and correct outages, and enlist help when needed.

Follow operational standards regarding security, risk management, and compliance.

Consistently complete required training for all bank and branch policies and procedures.

Meet scheduled working hours as designated by manager to ensure branch functionality.

Adhere to Retail Branch Standards, including dress code.

Perform special projects as assigned.

Education, Experience and Job Skills

High School Diploma or GED.

Minimum 1‑year related work experience in customer service.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with high accuracy and attention to detail.

Proficient in basic computer operations and standard applications; ability to quickly learn and navigate job‑specific software.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Positive and professional attitude.

Proven team player.

Trustworthiness and confidentiality essential.

Daily reliable transportation.

Ability to stand continuously, bend or squat as required for accessing night drops, coin machines, vaults, ATM, etc., based on branch setup.

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs consistently.

Ability to travel to attend internal education and meetings, which may include overnight stays; travel also required to fill in at other branches as needed.

Basic Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.

Minimum 1‑year related experience in customer service.

Daily reliable transportation.

Ability to stand continuously, bend or squat as required.

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs consistently.

Travel ability for internal education, meetings, travel to other branches; may include overnight stays.
