Program Assistant
Our client, a nonprofit organization, is looking to add a 3-month temporary Program Assistant to their team in Boston, MA. The individual in this role must be detail-oriented, have solid administrative skills, and be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment in service of a great mission and diverse community. Compensation
$17 per hour*

Salary listed not guaranteed – potential offers vary based on experience level, qualifications, and internal equity and may be outside of this range.

Applicants must be able to work onsite 5 days per week in Boston to be eligible for this position.

Responsibilities

Provide general administrative and clerical support to the team, including assisting with ongoing projects and daily priorities.

Answer phones and help support front-desk coverage as needed; route calls/messages appropriately.

Coordinate calendars and schedule appointments for staff and/or clients.

Monitor shared voicemails and inboxes; respond when appropriate and elevate items to the right person.

Manage documentation processes, including collecting required materials, processing forms, and maintaining accurate files.

Handle incoming mail (sort, date‑stamp, and distribute to staff).

Support office operations by tracking supplies, placing orders, receiving deliveries, and distributing materials/equipment.

Assist with scanning, copying, filing, and other administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma required; prior administrative/office support experience preferred.

Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable interacting with clients and staff.

Detail-oriented with solid follow-through; able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Professional, friendly, and dependable; strong customer service mindset.

Spanish bilingual skills strongly preferred.
