AE2S is seeking a Water Project Manager in Lehi, Utah to lead the planning, design, and delivery of drinking water and water infrastructure projects for public and private clients. This role is ideal for a water engineer with project management experience who wants to take ownership of complex, community‑impacting projects that support water treatment, water supply, storage, transmission, and pump station infrastructure. As a Water Project Manager, you’ll apply your technical water engineering expertise and client‑focused mindset to manage projects from concept through construction, delivering high‑quality solutions and exceptional client service. Responsibilities

Serve as Project Manager for drinking water and water infrastructure projects, guiding work through the full project lifecycle.

Provide professional water engineering services including planning, studies, design, and construction administration.

Lead and manage project teams, including Project Engineers, Engineers in Training (EITs), and Technicians.

Develop and maintain strong client relationships, supporting both existing and new project opportunities.

Identify, pursue, and manage water project opportunities aligned with client and organizational goals.

Ensure quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) on all project deliverables.

Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to support successful outcomes.

Coordinate and participate in internal and external meetings with clients, stakeholders, and team members.

Provide mentorship and technical guidance to support team growth and development.

Basic Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in civil, chemical or environmental engineering or related field.

Registration as a Professional Engineer in Utah or ability to obtain within 6 months.

8+ years consulting experience in water.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Ability to travel as required for project/client responsibilities and business development.

Ability to work remotely and manage projects, clients, and project team members.

Prior project management experience.

All applicants must be able to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor‑vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in civil engineering or related field.

10+ years consulting experience for municipal water/wastewater systems.

Proven client relationships.

Physical Requirements

Ability to walk up to 3 miles on uneven terrain.

Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.

Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist.

Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight; may require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds.

Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.

May be required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including flame‑resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear.

May require occasional evenings and weekends with overtime expectations varying with workload.

May be required to travel to off‑site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town.
