This position involves scheduling and registering patients accurately, verifying insurance and benefits, and managing referrals and pre-authorizations to support smooth access to medical services.
Job Summary

As an Access Authorization Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining data integrity, and assisting patients with financial responsibilities such as co-payments and insurance balances. You will also handle multi-line phone systems, respond to inquiries, and support administrative tasks to enhance patient experience.
Education and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred.
Healthcare experience is a plus.
Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare revenue cycle is advantageous.
Licenses and Certifications

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is encouraged.
Skills and Abilities

Proficiency in insurance verification through various online and telephone systems.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and other office technologies.

Physical Requirements

Includes occasional lifting and carrying of items up to 35 lbs, frequent standing, walking, bending, and stooping. Vision, hearing, and speech within normal range with or without corrective devices.
