
Payroll Clerk

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Payroll Administrator. This is a great opportunity for someone starting out in payroll or accounting who's eager to learn, grow, and contribute in a fast-paced environment. You'll be trained on our systems and supported by a collaborative team that values initiative and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and maintain computerized personnel files (payroll, tax info, deductions, wage rates).
Process payroll using daily time entry reports.
Verify and edit time entries and batch totals.
Make adjustments to employee deductions as needed.
Generate weekly payroll reports.
Collaborate with the Finance team for problem-solving and approvals.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
1 year of payroll or accounting experience.
Prior experience in the construction industry.
Familiarity with Vista Viewpoint and Heavy jobs platforms is a plus.
Skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency with office equipment.
Basic knowledge of accounting and payroll systems.
Ability to work independently and handle confidential information with discretion.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions
General office environment.
Schedule: Monday - Friday (8 hours), Overtime as needed.
Occasional lifting of materials over 25 lbs.
Requires sustained mental and visual attention and manual dexterity.
