
Building Automation Systems HVAC Commissioning Technician

Position Overview
Smart Infrastructure mid‑level professional role supporting our Houston, TX branch location that serves customers throughout the greater Houston area. The role participates in estimating, tracking, startup, and commissioning of projects and serves as the technical interface for all customer requirements.
Responsibilities
Attend pre‑booking meetings to gain knowledge of the sales estimate and project scope; analyze plans, specifications, and contract details to determine system requirements.
Develop and maintain a project schedule and coordinate needs with the project team; identify time‑sensitive installation needs and coordinate work with subcontractors.
Manage the requisition of supplies and materials to complete projects; track resources and project progress.
Troubleshoot issues, including identifying and debugging software, and diagnosing electrical or pneumatic installation problems.
Organize and maintain job documentation.
Provide on‑site assistance with or perform programming, start‑up, checkout, commissioning, and validation processes; participate in job site final walk‑through, complete all job closeout documentation, and provide customer training; act as technical resource to customers and field employees.
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of experience in the installation and/or maintenance of Building Automation systems.
Ability and willingness to work in a variety of environments around mechanical equipment, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high‑lift equipment, working in ducts, above ceilings, and in outside/inside, heat/cold, day
ight conditions; use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted.
Must be 18 years of age, possess a valid driver’s license with limited violations, and meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens’ fleet vehicle program.
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continued and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of experience in the installation and/or maintenance of Building Automation systems.
Ability to read and understand design and construction documents.
Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
Salary
Pay range: $62,761 - $107,590 annually. The actual wage offered may vary depending on budget, candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and geographic location.
