Building Automation Systems Commissioning Technician

Position Location: This role supports our Houston, TX branch location, which serves customers throughout the greater Houston, TX area.

As a Commissioning Technician, you will

Attend pre-booking meetings to gain knowledge of the sales estimate and project scope. Analyze plans, specifications, and contract details to determine system requirements.

Develop and maintain a project schedule and coordinate needs with the project team. Identify time-sensitive installation needs and coordinate work with subcontractors.

Manage the requisition of supplies and materials to complete projects. Track resources and project progress.

Troubleshoot issues, including identifying and debugging software, and diagnosing electrical or pneumatic installation problems.

Organize and maintain job documentation.

Provide on-site assistance with or perform programming, start-up, checkout, commissioning, and validation processes. Participate in job site final walk-through, complete all job closeout documentation, and provide customer training. Act as technical resource to customers and field employees.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications

3+ years’ experience in the installation and/or maintenance of Building Automation systems.

Ability and willingness to work in a variety of environments in and around mechanical equipment, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high-lift equipment, working in ducts, above ceilings, and in outside/inside/heat/cold/day
ight conditions; use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted.

Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle program.

Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years’ experience in the installation and/or maintenance of Building Automation systems.

Ability to read/understand design and construction documents.

Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.

Pay range: $62,761 - $107,590 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
