Job Description Summary
A CNC Setup Technician is responsible for CNC machine troubleshooting, updating tool paths and completing set ups for machines on 3rd Shift.
Job Description
Recognize tool paths by interpreting the program (G and M codes)
Machine set‑ups and changeovers
Ability to train associates on machining standards
Troubleshoot daily production problems through root cause analysis techniques as they occurParticipate in continuous improvement processes
Maintains safety and good housekeeping standards
Required Skills And Education
1 to 3 years of experience in high volume precision machining environment
General understanding of manufacturing processes and detailed knowledge of lathe tooling/programming
High school diploma or equivalent experience required
Knowledge of Hard Turning, Green Turning, Milling, Broaching and Part Finishing machining processes
Knowledge to teach robot and gantry pickup points
Knowledge of Nachi robot controls
