Shelter & Survivor Support Advocate

The Family Violence Program of St. Bernard is seeking a dedicated Shelter Advocate in Chalmette, Louisiana to provide essential support to survivors of domestic violence. In this role, you will screen clients for shelter acceptance, assist with crisis calls, and maintain daily operations including supervising meals and ensuring a safe environment. You will also provide advocacy, short-term counseling, and connect survivors with community resources. A strong emphasis on cultural competency and sensitivity to diverse populations is required.
