Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar busy unit.
Skills: IV Start, Telemetry, cardiac drips, pre and post procedure cardiac patients, PCI.
Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIHSS.
Traveler Experience: Open to first‑time travelers.
Locals Accepted: Yes.
Job Details
Contract: 13 weeks, 36 hours per week.
Shift: 12‑hour nights; Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
Weekend Requirement: Fri/Sat/Sun.
Target Ratios: 1:5-6 patients.
Call and Float Requirements: Based on patient census.
Patient Diagnoses
Primary cardiac and stroke unit handling stable pre/post care for pacemaker implantation, cardiac catheterization, and more. Manage multiple drips like Cardiazem, Dopamine, Amiodarone.
Special Procedures / Unit Details
High patient turnover with support from a team lead for admissions and discharges. COVID‑positive patients managed with opti‑flow and BIPAP during surges.
Special Equipment
Telemetry and pulse ox.
High Flow O2 (stable).
Non‑Rebreather Mask (palliative).
BIPAP (chronic use only).
Unit Systems
Pyxis, Dimensions (EPIC), SBAR.
Orientation and Uniform
36‑hour orientation; availability required for hospital orientation week.
Scrubs: Navy blue or white; jackets to match uniform material and color.
