Position Summary
The Global Food Research Program is looking for an hourly temporary research assistant to support our work evaluating the effects of regulation and taxation on the food supply and household purchases in Colombia and around the world. This role will utilize specialized methods of data collection, entry, cleaning, and utilization (including interconnection of data sources), and will involve reviewing and revising product attributes and classification systems and applying regulatory algorithms. Collaboration and work within datasets may be in the language of collaborators’ country (e.g. Spanish). As needed, this position will also assist with the development of policy briefs, fact sheets, presentations, website content, and other research translation materials required to clearly convey and disseminate research findings.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the field assigned and one year of related training or experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

Bilingual in Spanish and English.

Familiarity with Nutrient Profile Models used in Colombia, Latin America, and globally.

Experience with nutrition labeling and epidemiology research projects.

Experience with technical writing and editing.
