Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Radiologic Technologist, you will operate radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic radiographs, prepare patients, position them for imaging, adjust equipment controls, and ensure proper exposure. You will follow safety protocols, accurately complete patient records, and maintain electronic information systems such as PACS and eMar. Responsibilities include:

Preparing patients and collecting pertinent information.

Performing all general diagnostic radiographic procedures.

Observing patients’ conditions throughout the exam.

Practicing radiation safety per Federal standards and the ALARA policy.

Using electronic information systems, PACS, PacsCube, eMar, etc.

Compiling records to expedite results.

Operating mobile radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment in the department, OR, and hospital.

Administering contrast media as required.

Participating in continuing education activities to meet ARRT requirements.

Collecting QA/PI data as requested.

Providing patient care in a professional, courteous manner.

Complying with National Quality Forum safety indicators and Leapfrog Safe Practices Standards.

Performing various other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or military training in Radiology.

ARRT (R) registered or registry eligible.

Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.

Preferred Qualifications

At least one year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a hospital environment.

Completion of formal computer courses.
