RN CLINICAL QUALITY FACILITATOR (HYBRID) – 40 HOURS – DAY SHIFT

General Summary
Our Quality Team is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to support quality improvement and abstraction work. The role supports transitioning off the TSA with Legacy Ascension/Navion and focuses on HVSL related registries for LA and LHF. The individual will be a member of the Henry Ford System Abstractor Community. This is a hybrid position with opportunities to work from home and attend on‑site meetings as needed, fostering a supportive environment, collaboration, and flexible working hours.
Responsibilities
Perform complex project work with interdisciplinary groups, including senior administrators, nursing and medical leaders, with minimal supervision from the System Director of Registries and Abstraction.
Lead or co‑lead large system teams, guide implementation plans, and act as a consultant or facilitator on regulatory, disease certification, patient safety, and quality issues.
Design and deliver educational programs to assist employees, physicians, and leadership in meeting safety and quality goals.
Assist with the design and supervision of graduate student quality and safety projects.

Education & Experience Required
Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
Master's degree in Nursing or a related field preferred.
Minimum of five years of clinical experience required, with two years of project management and/or process improvement experience preferred.
Experience in educational curriculum design and delivery is an asset.
Experience with clinical quality and patient safety principles/initiatives; demonstrated ability to apply concepts.
Experience with new program/initiative development, implementation and evaluation.
Computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, Care Plus, electronic mail, and Internet navigation software.
Ability to problem‑solve independently and work with minimal direction.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work with senior leaders and large teams with diverse members.
Demonstrated ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts.
Ability to adapt, respond and prioritize in a rapidly changing health care environment and successfully manage multiple competing demands.
Ability to act as a change agent, providing direction to others and gaining their support.
Basic understanding of the research process and statistical analysis.
Strong leadership and mentoring skills and customer service skills.
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff across the System.
Strong base of patient safety knowledge including human factors and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis.
Strong oral and written communication skills including presentation skills.
Understanding of health care cultures including medical and nursing cultures.
Sound decision‑making skills and problem‑solving skills.
Certification / License Required
Current RN licensure in the State of Michigan required.
