Position Overview
As a
Medical Assistant , you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, high‑quality care to women in our community. You will support providers and patients throughout the visit while ensuring smooth clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare patients for provider visits by completing the Advanced Standard Rooming process:
Entering chief complaints
Recording vital signs
Reviewing medical history and allergies
Performing thorough medication reconciliation
Work within the Encounter Guide to help close care gaps, including:
Fall risk and depression screenings
Breast and colorectal cancer screenings
Diabetic eye exams
Recheck elevated blood pressures and complete documentation in
Epic , including support for annual preventive visits.
Assist with in‑office testing such as:
Blood draws
EKGs
Mental status exams
Walking oxygen studies
Point‑of‑care testing
Administer vaccines and injections within scope of practice
Schedule follow‑up appointments per office policy.
Collaborate closely with providers and the clinical care team to coordinate and monitor patient care plans.
Qualifications
Medical Assistant (Non‑Certified):
High School Diploma or GED
BLS Certification required within 90 days of hire
Preferred: 6 months of clinical healthcare experience
Certified Medical Assistant:
High School Diploma or GED
Active MA Certification/Registration (RMA, CCMA, or CMA)
BLS Certification required within 90 days of hire
