Phlebotomist II Float – Marlborough, MA
Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 8:00 PM availability, with rotational weekends.
In this float role, you will work in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same. You may be called to new patient centers frequently, meeting a variety of patients and providing a broad range of phlebotomy services.
Responsibilities
Cover assigned territories to perform phlebotomy duties in patient service centers, doctors’ offices, or other locations as business needs require.
Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance examinations.
Enter billing information and collect payments when required.
Coach, mentor, and serve as a resource advisor for new employees; act as the primary point of contact for site staff and provide regular input to the group lead or supervisor.
Travel to additional doctors’ offices or patient service center sites when needed.
Qualifications
Required Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Work Experience
Three years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
Minimum two years in a patient service center environment preferred.
Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
Keyboard/data entry experience.
The position requires the ability to effectively communicate in English.
