Job Summary
The

Sr. Sous Chef – Premium

plays a critical leadership role in delivering an exceptional, high-end culinary experience within a fast-paced arena environment. As a

Senior Sous Chef

with Levy at the Rose Quarter, your responsibility includes supporting the Executive Sous Chef in overseeing all premium culinary operations, including luxury suites, clubs, VIP catering, and high-profile events. The Sr. Sous Chef will bring a sharp eye for detail, creativity in menu development, and resilience under pressure, ensuring flawless execution for diverse and demanding service periods. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven culinary professional passionate about innovation, premium hospitality, and operational excellence in a live-event setting.

Key Responsibilities

Partner closely with the Executive Chef to

lead daily premium culinary operations , ensuring the highest standards of quality, consistency, and presentation

Develop, test, and execute innovative, high-end menus

tailored to premium guests, VIP clientele, and special events, with an emphasis on seasonality and culinary trends

Oversee the

planning and execution of premium catering events , including large‑scale arena activations, private events, and high‑profile game or concert service

Maintain meticulous

attention to detail

in food preparation, plating, and service execution across multiple premium outlets

Support food cost management through

inventory controls, waste reduction, ordering, and recipe adherence , while preserving premium product integrity

Train, coach, and supervise culinary team members, fostering a culture of craftsmanship, accountability, and continuous improvement

Demonstrate

resilience and adaptability

during high-volume, high-pressure service windows typical of arena operations

Ensure full compliance with

food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards , setting the tone for best-in-class kitchen discipline

Collaborate with company culinary and marketing teams to

roll out new premium culinary programs, concepts, and guest-facing experiences

Actively participate in

client and guest satisfaction initiatives , responding to feedback and elevating the overall premium experience

Preferred Qualifications

Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent professional culinary experience

Progressive culinary leadership experience, with a strong preference for

premium catering, upscale hospitality, or luxury foodservice environments

Proven success in

high-volume, complex operations , ideally within arenas, stadiums, convention centers, hotels, or large event venues

Catering and event-driven service experience strongly preferred

Demonstrated creativity and

comprehensive knowledge of culinary trends , premium ingredients, modern techniques, and refined presentation

Strong understanding of food cost controls, labor management, production planning, and operational efficiency

Experience supervising and mentoring hourly culinary associates

Proficiency with computers and systems, including

Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, and email

Willingness to actively engage in

client relations and guest satisfaction programs

ServSafe Certification
