Mental Health Technician – Night Shift (Co-ed Unit)
The Brook Hospital is an 88‑bed facility in Louisville, KY providing mental health and addiction treatment services. We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Technician to join our co‑ed unit and support the safety, structure, and therapeutic environment of our patients by working closely with the multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
Performs safety checks daily and as needed per guidelines
Knows location and condition of all patients at all times
Ensures proper hand‑off of clinical information
Assists in management of behavior and control of destructive/unsafe behavior per facility guidelines
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Education – High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
Years of experience – No experience required; direct patient care experience in a behavioral health setting preferred.
Certifications – Must maintain current CPR certification.
Computer skills – Ability to gain training through web‑based programs, participate in employee surveys, enroll in company benefits.
Communication – Must possess excellent verbal skills in communicating with patients, coworkers and visitors.
Teamwork – Must be able to actively participate in a treatment team environment.
Service excellence – Consistently demonstrates all Service Excellence Standards.
