Job Purpose
The ER Technician II is responsible for all basic patient care duties and assists with direct patient care to provide support services to patients, families, and other Emergency Services staff. This includes therapeutic treatment as ordered by the physician on duty, operating laboratory equipment, patient discharge, and education. The technician also supports the mission, vision, values, and strategic goals of Methodist Health System.

Responsibilities
Assist with basic patient care duties and direct patient care to support patients, families, and staff.
Administer therapeutic treatment as ordered by the physician on duty.
Operate laboratory equipment.
Assist with patient discharge and education.
Education
High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate.
Job Requirements
Preferred: 1 year of work-related experience.
Licenses and Certifications
Current Texas EMT-P certification (license required) or National EMT-P Certification.
Current Basic Life Support Certification.
Current Advanced Cardio Life Support Certification.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification required within 90 days of hire.
