Non-Public School Nurse
We are hiring a Licensed School Nurse to work approximately 600 hours over the course of the 2026‑27 school year (~2 days per week) with an assignment at Faithful Shepherd Catholic School in Eagan. Hours are subject to the funding allotted by the Minnesota Department of Education annually.

Job Summary
Support and promote a safe and healthy school environment working with students
Provide First Aid and Emergency Care for students and staff
Provide direct care as indicated through physician orders and the student’s Individual Health Plan
Maintain positive collaborative relationships with staff and parents
Maintain daily record keeping and medication administration via electronic health record system
Support student education in self‑management of health tasks and train staff to support student health needs
Demonstrate a genuine interest in unique student populations with varied health concerns and cultural backgrounds
Promote and assist in the control of communicable diseases
Ability to travel between schools
Qualifications
Preferred Bachelor of Science in Nursing; current Minnesota RN licensure, public health certificate
Licensed School Nurse (LSN) from Minnesota Department of Education/PELSB or ability to meet MDE requirements
Ability to perform skilled nursing care such as catheterization, suctioning, gastrostomy tube feedings, insulin administration, insulin pumps, continuous glucose monitor, nebulizer treatments and seizure care, oxygen administration, emergency care, etc.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; computer proficiency using various software applications
CPR certified
Understanding and knowledge of the following competencies:
Management of common chronic conditions in children
Asthma management, diabetes, insulin pen and pumps, seizure management
Pediatric/adolescent nursing-child development
Pediatric disorders and syndromes
COVID-19 protocols and infection control
Special education services
Ethnic and cultural inclusion
Demonstrated experience and proficiency working with a culturally, ethnically, racially and socioeconomically diverse school community is preferred
Perform other duties as assigned

Building Principal, Health Services Coordinator, and Director of Community Education
Compensation / Benefits
According to contractual agreement. If benefit eligible, benefits are available to new employees effective the first day of active employment.
