Your Role
As a Physical Therapist Assistant at Gilford Physical Therapy & Spine Center, you will assist physical therapists in providing quality, evidence‑based, and individualized programs of physical therapy that include assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education, and communication to help patients achieve optimal recovery and well‑being. Your caseload will be primarily orthopedic with a variety of sports medicine and musculoskeletal diagnoses as well as vestibular and other conditions.
What you’ll do
Assist physical therapists in providing direct patient care according to the therapist’s treatment plan.
Assist patients as necessary with walking, transferring, and dressing.
Conduct therapy practice within defined standards of care.
Create fitness and wellness‑oriented programs tailored to patients’ specific needs; promote patients’ healthy lifestyles by improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
Communicate effectively with other professionals and support staff to achieve positive patient outcomes.
Document patient care services via EMR.
Adhere to company policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards as required.
About You
Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
Active Physical Therapist Assistant license.
Superior customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to manage and interact positively with a diverse patient population of all ages.
Drive to continually learn and grow.
