Job Description
This incumbent welds metal components together to fabricate or repair products, such as machine parts, plant equipment, mobile homes, motors and generators, according to layouts, blueprints or work orders, using brazing and a variety of arc and gas welding equipment. The work includes welding metal parts together using gas welding or brazing and any combination of arc welding processes, performing thermal cutting and grinding, repairing broken or cracked parts, filling holes, and enlarging metal parts. The worker operates inspection equipment and gas torch to locate and repair cracks in industrial engine cylinder heads, may perform repairs only, and must satisfy performance tests or standard tests to meet certification standards of governmental agencies or professional and technical associations. Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

Employees may be subject to immunization and testing requirements pursuant to Client and current Company requirements.

Employees must meet the requirements of the federal credentialing process to access the facility, including obtaining a PIV card and meeting ongoing training and access requirements.

Employees may be required to participate in the select agent program, which involves additional background investigations, training, and work in a bio containment facility, as well as ongoing compliance to maintain eligibility.

Employees must pass a 10‑panel pre‑employment drug screen, random drug and alcohol screenings, and background/reference checks in compliance with the Drug‑Free Workplace Act of 1988.

Employees must be authorized to work in the US.
