Job Summary
Under general supervision, the Certified Surgical Technologist III functions as a member of the operating room team to prepare sterile supplies and equipment used in surgical procedures and perform appropriate room duties involved with direct patient care, adhering to established procedural guidelines at an advanced level. The role demonstrates advanced knowledge and critical thinking skills required to provide care and/or service appropriate to the level of development of patients, with consideration of patients’ families.
Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program or surgical technology military program and a minimum of one year of work experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist.
Certified Surgical Technologist credential administered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (formerly LCC-ST).
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
