Roofer Assistant

Overview
Roofer Assistants support roofers in the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofs. They handle tasks such as preparing materials, cleaning work areas, and assisting with basic roofing duties under supervision. As they gain experience, they may progress to more advanced role.
Assist in the installation and repair of roofing systems, including shingles, metal, and flat roofs
Help prepare job sites by gathering necessary materials and tools
Support lead roofers by following instructions and maintaining a safe working environment
Participate in the removal of old roofing materials and prepare surfaces for new installations
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures at all times
Perform maintenance tasks on roofing systems as needed

Proven roofing or general construction experience.
Working knowledge of different roofing systems
Sound knowledge of business ordinance
The ability to lift heavy materials and tools
The ability to use powered hand tools
Good communication skills
Good customer service skills
Ability to work flexible hours
