Job Title: Research Assistant
The Research Assistant will actively participate in weekly meetings to review patient populations for the upcoming week. They will prepare templates for patients they will be seeing and ensure the availability of necessary kits and supplies. The role involves performing daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks in the lab and interacting with coordinators, nurses, sponsor representatives, and internal data and regulatory teams.
Responsibilities
Participate in weekly meetings to review patient populations.
Prepare templates for upcoming patient visits.
Ensure availability of necessary kits and supplies.
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks in the lab.
Interact with coordinators, nurses, and sponsor representatives for sample processing.
Work with internal data and regulatory teams.
Process blood samples and ship them according to protocol standards.
Order lab supplies and maintain equipment.
Essential Skills
Experience in laboratory settings.
Proficiency in processing blood samples.
Experience with sample shipping according to protocols.
Knowledge of GCP principles.
Experience in clinical research.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Opportunity to advance within the lab and potentially move to other roles in the organization.
Work Environment
The role involves working with three other Research Assistants and collaborating closely with clinical, regulatory, and data teams, as well as management. The job requires standing for multiple hours and involves a fair amount of computer work. Flexibility in working hours is needed, as there might be occasions when work extends as late as 7:00 pm, with the option to adjust the schedule accordingly.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Detroit, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.69/hr.
