Housing Coordinator
The Housing Coordinator manages the housing application, assignment, billing, and other operational processes, for both the residence halls and Knollcrest East apartments, and provides departmental support to Residence Life staff and the Student Life suite.
Housing Coordination & Operations
Coordinate housing details with Admissions, Financial Services, Facilities, Dining Services, Athletics, IT, and Communications & Marketing.
Manage and execute housing application processes for new and returning students, including roommate matching, room assignments, and summer communication.
Prepare and maintain floor plans, building charts, and occupancy records for each academic year.
Assist with housing processes for summer, Christmas, and Spring Break periods in collaboration with the KE Area Coordinator and KE Graduate Assistant.
Administrative & Departmental Support
Support the Director with occupancy reports, departmental forms, correspondence, and assessment surveys.
Provide general office support for Student Life, including financial paperwork and departmental administrative tasks.
Assist with the production and distribution of student ID cards.
Communication & Marketing
Write and edit departmental communication materials, including brochures, website updates, and Housing Contracts.
Collaborate with Marketing and Communication Services to maintain and update housing-related web content.
Meal Program Administration
Administer student meal plans for residents and off-campus students, coordinating with Financial Services and Dining Services regarding billing issues.
Supervisory Responsibilities
No staff supervision. Position directs the work activities of at least 1 student employee.

A high school diploma or general education degree (GED); bachelor's degree preferred.
One to three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must have an affinity for detail and accuracy, with knowledge of and experience with computers and databases.
Must have the ability to interact with and serve a wide diversity of students, handle a variety of interruptions, and show a visible Christian commitment compatible with the mission of the university.
Experience with on-campus housing and/or residence life beneficial.
Other Skills and Abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of software.
Ability to learn, utilize and coordinate specialized housing software (eRez Life).
Preference for those with experience in multiple data software applications.
Ability to handle multiple tasks.
Must have knowledge of Calvin University and on-campus housing policies and procedures.
Interpersonal skills are necessary.
