
Housing Services Coordinator
North Central College, Minneapolis, MN, United States
Reporting to the Director of Residence Life, the Housing Services Coordinator provides all campus guests, including students, conferees, and visitors, with campus housing and meal plans in residence halls. This position oversees all residence hall‑related assignments and billing processes throughout the year and supports Event Services by managing housing staff for summer conferences and providing operational oversight for conference housing requirements.
Responsibilities
Manage the advertising, scheduling, and processing of housing choices for residence halls. Coordinate ongoing housing occupancy status with appropriate campus departments such as Student Affairs Res Life, Facilities and Campus Safety.
Serve as the first point of contact for students, parents, faculty, and staff with student housing and meal plan‑related concerns, consulting with other campus resources for resolution as appropriate, including Orientation and Welcome Week.
Maintain and update all housing, meal and damage billing information using eRezLife software.
Work with Student Accounts to ensure timely and accurate billing of housing and meal plan charges.
Provides strategic and operational oversight for all housing aspects of campus events, including summer conferences and intern programs. Ensures effective coordination of residence hall logistics and maintains strong collaboration with Campus Safety and campus partners. Serves as a key consultant to internal and external planners, offering guidance to support seamless housing operations for all hosted programs.
Collaborate with the Assistant Director of Conference Services and Conference Services Event Coordinators to support the planning, room assignments, and billing processes for Summer Intern Housing and external summer conferences, ensuring accuracy, compliance with established procedures, and effective cross‑department coordination.
Partner with the Operations team to maintain housing facilities to the standards expected by the college for upkeep.
Administer housing contracts, policies, and procedures to maximize occupancy rates while meeting student needs.
Coordinate the check‑in and check‑out process for the assigned residence area; maintain records, including key inventories and room/apartment condition forms throughout the academic year. Address housing concerns and issues related to housing.
Plan and implement housing assignments, including accommodating specific student needs and preferences.
Maintain accurate records of occupancy, assignments, and student‑related housing issues for reporting and planning purposes.
Provide administrative support for the Residence Life office including supervision of the Residence Life email, phone number, and in‑office support.
Occasional nights or weekends to accommodate check‑ins.
Assist Residence Life team members and other campus partners as needed.
Qualifications
Excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.
Demonstrated excellence in customer service.
Computer proficiency and demonstrated business‑writing skills, including previous work with housing software preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of contract terminology and risk management issues.

Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Experience
Minimum of two years’ experience in a related position, preferably within a collegiate environment.
Licenses or Certifications
Valid Driver’s license and acceptable driving record is required.
