Job Description
Job Title: Part-Time Legal Receptionist & Administrative Assistant Location: Panama City, FL
Pay Rate: $16.00/hour Schedule: Part-time | Flexible (35 days per week) | 8:15 AM 5:00 PM
Position Overview Our busy law firm client is seeking a motivated, professional Receptionist to serve as the vital first point of contact for their clients and the legal community. This role requires a composed individual who excels in a fast-paced environment and understands the importance of confidentiality and detail in a legal setting.
Primary Responsibilities Client Relations: Manage "first contact" interactions with professionalism and empathy, both over the phone and for in-office walk-ins. Communications Management: Efficiently operate a multi-line phone system, screening and directing calls to the appropriate team members. Case Administration: Assist with initial client intake, opening new physical and digital client files, and maintaining organized filing systems. Correspondence: Draft and type general legal correspondence and documents with high accuracy. Office Support: Utilize WordPerfect, Microsoft Word, and Outlook to manage schedules and document production.
Candidate Requirements Technical Proficiency: Working knowledge of WordPerfect and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook). Research Skills: Strong internet search capabilities for due diligence and administrative support. Adaptability: Ability to manage shifting priorities in a high-volume law practice. Professionalism: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must maintain strict client confidentiality. Schedule Flexibility: While daily hours are 8:15 AM 5:00 PM, we are looking for a candidate who can accommodate a varying weekly schedule (3 to 5 days per week based on firm needs). The firm is willing to work around schedules if necessary for the right candidate.
