
Litigation Secretary

Our client is prestigious well respected AM Law 50 law firm. The firm offers a quality of life and work environment usually only seen in smaller law firms which is proven by their low turnover. They are looking for a Litigation Assistant Lead for their San Francisco office.
Summary:
This is a highly visible role supporting sophisticated, high-stakes matters supporting key leadership Partners. This is a standout opportunity for a seasoned Litigation Assistant to step into a trusted partner role with real impact, while also expanding into team leadership and cross-office collaboration. Responsibilities:
Prepare, format, proofread, and finalize complex litigation documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and correspondence
Manage state and federal court filings, including appellate matters, ensuring strict compliance with court rules, procedures, and deadlines
Coordinate hearings, depositions, mediations, and related proceedings, liaising with court personnel, opposing counsel, experts, and vendors
Support case management, including drafting TOCs/TOAs, handling large-scale discovery, and maintaining organized electronic and physical files
Provide high-level administrative and practice support, including calendar management, travel coordination, expense reporting, billing, and new matter/conflicts processes
Serve as a senior team resource and liaison, mentoring assistants, coordinating workflow and coverage, supporting onboarding/training, and helping drive consistency and best practices across teams/offices
Qualifications:
10+ years of litigation experience, preferably within a large law firm or complex, high-volume litigation environment
Deep knowledge of litigation procedures, court filings (including appellate), discovery processes, and trial preparation
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, tight deadlines, and complex assignments with strong judgment and professionalism
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and written/verbal communication abilities; typing speed of 60+ WPM
Advanced proficiency in legal and office technology, including PACER, Adobe Acrobat, NetDocuments (or similar), and Microsoft Office; familiarity with Intapp, Chrome River, and 3E a plus
Salary:
