Job Duties
Plan layout, install, and repair wiring, fixtures, control equipment, underground cables, and conduits
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to execute work accurately
Diagnose electrical issues and operate basic electrical test equipment
Work closely with superintendents, project managers, engineers, and other tradespeople
Follow all safety protocols including PPE usage (hard hat, safety glasses, respirator, etc.) and OSHA standards
Train and guide electrical helpers and apprentices
Ensure accurate reporting and accountability for tools, materials, and work quality
Perform terminations up to 1500V AC/DC
Qualifications
Minimum two (2) years of experience in the construction industry as an electrician
Current Texas Journeyman Electrician License (TDLR)
Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, construction specifications, and safety procedures
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a desire to learn and grow in a dynamic environment
Pre-employment craft test, drug screen, physical, background check, and completion of safety training is a condition of employment
Physical Requirements
Able to climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, stairways, etc.
Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at elevated heights as well as in confined spaces (towers, vessels, excavations, etc.)
Able to carry 50 lbs. of tool and/or materials. It is recommended to get assistance to lift items over 50 lbs. Check with your project supervisor or project safety director.
Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time.
Must be able to work extended hours on your feet on uneven surfaces (dirt, concrete, asphalt, mud, gravel, etc.)
