Role Overview & Responsibilities
Spectrum Industries, Inc. is looking for a new team member to inspect raw materials, purchased materials, and finished goods, as well as review and monitor applicable manufacturing procedures and work instructions per Spectrum’s Quality System and ISO 9001 Requirements.
Verify product conformance to specification by visual and/or dimensional inspection
Perform in-process inspections on returned products and then properly document and disposition as required by the quality system
Perform in-process inspections and audits of manufacturing processes for proper production documentation and product conformance to specifications
Efficiently utilize Dynamics for acquiring accurate data and documents required to investigate product issues and recommend appropriate solutions
Communicate product non-conformances and/or potential issues with supervisors and document as required by the quality system
Provide production support on various product/item reviews and questions that arise during FPA’s or during the production runs
When necessary, apply “Hold” tags to products, initiate rework documentation, help direct and ensure rework is complete, and finalize the product approval documentation per the QMS procedure
Assist Product Development on assigned teams with quality considerations and feedback that will help assure the most robust design is utilized to minimize future issues
Determine root cause of non-conformance by applying systematic and data based problem-solving skills
Provide technical feedback or suggestion to appropriate manufacturing personnel on improvement suggestions to help make processes more robust
Qualifications & Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Six months to one year of related work experience
