Job Overview
The Supervisor will have multi‑department responsibility and supervise a team of employees who interact daily with providers and service line leaders. The Supervisor II is responsible for providing direction, leadership, project management, and oversight of business functions for the designated area, including staff, work processes, and quality initiatives in the assigned program, pharmacy, or service line. The Supervisor II should possess strong knowledge of the area and skillfully use interpersonal, customer service, problem‑solving, and collaboration skills to support and manage operational objectives. This position partners with key stakeholders to drive strategic objectives such as program growth, financial stewardship, quality assurance, customer service, process improvement, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
Direct and lead the assigned team, including scheduling, performance management, and day‑to‑day operations.
Complete timely performance reviews of staff according to policy.
Manage operational expenses to meet the organization’s financial goals.
Proactively identify and lead or participate in process improvement opportunities.
Actively support recruitment, orientation, and engagement of the team.
Maintain staff competencies and licensure requirements.
Ensure effective and timely communication of relevant information.
Provide guidance on performance management, mentoring, coaching, and individual development.
Partner with leadership and stakeholders to design, deliver, and ensure efficient and safe operations in the assigned program, pharmacy, or service line.
Coordinate, collect, analyze, and report on key data points using technology and information gathering mechanisms.
Promote the pharmacy, program, or service line to develop ongoing improvements and provide effective, efficient, customer‑focused service to internal and external customers.
Work with stakeholders to ensure quality and performance measures meet policy, compliance, or regulatory requirements.
Work independently to problem‑solve operational errors that could impact bottom‑line financials.
Make decisions on department processes with limited direction to support business needs.
Demonstrate effective stewardship of resources.
Required Qualifications
Baccalaureate degree in business, healthcare, or related field, or equivalent experience.
At least 3 years of supervisory and/or leadership experience.
Pharmacy Technician credentials in MN.
Preferred Qualifications
At least 5 years of supervisory and/or leadership experience.
Nationally certified Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) credential.
