Job Summary
We’re looking for an organised and enthusiastic Operational Support Officer to join our team at Newcastle Carers, a successful and well‑established charity. This role is an exciting opportunity for an individual with excellent communication skills to make a real difference and impact in our organisation. You’ll work closely with staff members, volunteers, service users and professionals to ensure the delivery of our support is effective and efficient; you will be the first point of contact for people accessing our service. Providing excellent communication, organisation and administrative support will be critical to your work.
Responsibilities
Act as the first point of contact for people accessing the service.
Provide excellent communication, organisation and administrative support.
Work closely with staff members, volunteers, service users and professionals to ensure effective and efficient support delivery.
Support building and welcome functions, ensuring the Centre is safe and welcoming.
Monitor effective use of CRM systems.
Communicate with carers and professionals as required.
Qualifications
Proven experience in communications and liaising with members of the public and professionals.
Strong interpersonal skills and confidence in multi‑tasking, working to deadlines and using IT systems effectively.
Experience in an office administration environment.
Motivated to provide support across the organisation and build lasting impact.
