Job Description
Day Shift Position - Pay is weekly.
Supports the day to day operations of the Branch.
Responsible for ensuring that all orders that require shipment of spools and/or any wire are fulfilled within a timely manner.
Ensures shipments of wire being sent are cut to order and adhere to safety standards.
Performs assigned housekeeping tasks and any other duties assigned by management.
Acts in a safety‑sensitive manner with constant state of awareness and safe practices.
Employees offered employment will undergo a pre‑employment drug test and background check for relevant convictions.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; warehouse or distribution experience preferred.
Ability to identify product by size, type, style, color or product code.
Must be able to read orders and match orders on shipping tickets to items picked.
Basic math and reasoning skills.
Certification in power‑truck operation.
Proficient in operating inventory control equipment such as bar‑coding devices and handheld scanners.
Physical Requirements
able to move/lift up to 50 lbs unassisted;
able to withstand extreme temperatures typical of a warehouse environment;
spends large amount of time standing, walking, lifting, pulling, and pushing;
may require climbing ladders for top‑level selection;
requires close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
