
Assistant Manufacturing Manager

Provide support to the Manufacturing Manager in the coordination between production supervisor departments to ensure safety is ensured, quality standards are upheld, and production schedules are met by providing coaching and training to supervisors and production employees as well as supervising production areas when necessary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure strict adherence to health and safety procedures, develop and maintain a safe working environment and safety first culture, and contribute to the development of safety improvements in all production areas including facility improvement, coaching, training, process improvement, and housekeeping.
Develop, coach and train department production supervisors and leads to minimize turnover and improve retention of better qualified employees.
Work alongside Human Resources to ensure that employees’ daily hours are reported accurately and in a timely manner, evaluate and provide input on performance for all production employee reviews, and ensure that employee feedback is properly documented in reviews, PIP plans, and written reports.
Ensure proper utilization of ERP system for tracking manhours, relieving material, and ensuring proper accounting for labor and material usage including scrap.
Directly oversee individual production areas in the absence of a Production Supervisor.
Develop, coordinate, and maintain the production schedule in and across each production department including coordination of resources across all production departments while ensuring that the company’s standards for quality are met.
Identify, evaluate, and implement process improvement solutions throughout production areas to maximize safety, quality, and production efficiency.

Required

Experience

3-5 years of Management and manufacturing experience.
