Job Title: Cook NOW HIRING
The Cook is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals in accordance with established menus, dietary requirements, and food safety standards. This role supports patient care by ensuring nutritious, appealing meals are prepared for patients, staff, and visitors while maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare hot and cold food items according to standardized recipes and production schedules
Follow therapeutic and special diet requirements as directed by Dietary or Clinical staff
Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation in compliance with health and safety regulations
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, workstations, and food preparation areas
Assist with inventory control, food rotation, and stocking supplies
Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly
Collaborate with dietary team members to meet meal service timelines
Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or supply needs to leadership
Follow infection control and workplace safety policies at all times
Qualifications
Previous cooking experience, preferably in a healthcare, institutional, or high-volume food service environment
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper cooking techniques
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and standardized recipes
Strong attention to detail and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sarasota, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
