Job Summary and Qualifications
Operates, maintains, trouble shoots and facilitates repairs of all Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration equipment in the central plant and all NCMC Buildings. Equipment included, but not limited to: Chillers, AHU, RTU, Ice Machine, Refrigerator/Cooler equipment & Building Management System. Thorough knowledge of the various types of refrigerants, electronics and controls systems. Coordinate budget, repair and replacement with Facilities Management. Responsible for hospital campus and off-site locations.

Position Responsibilities

Apply the HVAC practices throughout the NCMC campus, including repairs and maintenance of all refrigeration equipment and related systems.

Ensure all assigned tasks are completed according to policy and procedure, Joint Commission, NFPA 99, NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, TDSHS licensing standards, and all other NFPA Codes as needed.

Participates in and responds to all Hospital emergencies, including, but not limited to fire, bomb threats, disaster codes, security codes, and all other emergencies as required by the department supervisor and director.

Cooperates with other personnel to achieve department objectives and maintains good employee relations and collaborative integration of the health care team.

Demonstrates accountability for the functionality of all hospital equipment.

Assist in the enforcement of safety policies and, Supervisor, and the Director of the department.

Demonstrates professional practice and always conduct.

Participates in Performance Improvement as appropriate (i.e. data collection, quality control, etc.)

Qualifications

High School Graduate / GED, college/ tech school or 1-3 years equivalent on the job experience.

No Travel Required

2 years experience Required Years of Experience

Minimum Experience: Technical training in Engineering or HVAC

Preferred Licensure: Universal CFC, ACR technician/TDLR registered
