Corporate Counsel, Contracts
We are seeking a qualified corporate counsel to manage contracts, advise coverage issues, and manage litigation.
Responsibilities
Prepare, review, analyze, interpret, and negotiate various Program Contracts, including QSAs, PAAs, TPAs, endorsements, and amendments, utilizing AI programs as necessary.
Monitor and handle contract-based Program disputes.
Coordinate with Accounting, Client Services, Claims, and Reinsurance for contract guidance.
Oversee new and runoff contracts.
Provide training for attorneys and staff in reinsurance.
Maintain contracts and ensure proper documentation for renewals.
Provide legal support to underwriting, accounting, claims oversight, and other groups.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school.
5+ years experience in the insurance/reinsurance industry, focusing on property & casualty products.
Excellent analytical, technical, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Proven communication, written, presentation, and organizational skills.
Desire to work independently and cross‑functionally.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or insurance is an asset.
Salary range: $165,000–$195,000 plus bonus within the terms of the company plan. Trisura offers medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) with company match, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
