The Opportunity
We’re looking for a driven, relationship-focused Territory Manager (Outside Sales) to grow and manage business within an assigned territory. In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing existing customer relationships, expanding strategic accounts, and acquiring new business through a consultative sales approach.
You’ll work closely with the Business Unit Leader (BUL), internal sales teams, and operational partners to identify growth opportunities, increase market penetration, and ensure successful product and service implementation. What you’ll do
Develop and grow strong relationships with existing customers to drive retention and profitable growth
Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within your territory
Promote and sell Belt Power products and services through a consultative, value‑added sales approach
Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline while meeting or exceeding territory growth objectives and KPIs
Collaborate with Inside Sales (Account Managers) to develop quotes and track order status
Coordinate joint sales calls with manufacturers, suppliers, and adjacent territory sales teams
Participate in trade shows, conventions, and industry networking events
Track, analyze, and report sales activity and pipeline data using CRM/ERP systems
Provide feedback to leadership on customer needs, competitive activity, and emerging market opportunities
Demonstrate products and solutions to help customers identify the best fit for their operations
Ensure accurate execution of contracts, pricing, RFQs, and customer timelines
Maintain a proactive call plan aligned with territory goals
Represent Belt Power professionally at all times while supporting company culture and safety standards
Requirements
What we’re looking for
Previous outside sales experience in industrial distribution (preferred)
Experience with conveyors and/or automation (preferred)
Working knowledge of CRM and/or ERP systems
Strong customer focus with a consultative mindset
High attention to detail and strong observational skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and travel (including overnight) as needed
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
Preferred Characteristics

Organized, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Team‑oriented with a collaborative approach
Clear understanding of the outside sales process
Passion for learning new products, systems, and processes
Physical Demands & Work Environment
This role requires the ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and involves extended periods of sitting, standing, bending, kneeling, and walking. The Territory Manager may work around moving mechanical equipment, tools, and machinery, with exposure to loud noise levels at times. Proper PPE is required.
Schedule & Travel
This is a full‑time position with work performed in the office, shop, and at customer sites. Typical hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with frequent travel, including overnight stays, and occasional weekend or overtime work.
