Job Summary
Activate Grant Accounts
Contract and Subcontract Administration
Reconcile grant, AEF and gift accounts on a monthly basis, reviewing transactions for appropriateness
Provide monthly financial projections to PI's and the Director of Finance and Administration on all sponsored programs and start-up accounts
Process grant account close-outs
Work Location
Hybrid (3 days per week on campus, remaining as needed for in-person meetings)

Minimum Qualifications
Entry level: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, public administration or a closely related field.
Intermediate level: Bachelor's degree + 1 year of progressively responsible professional experience in research administration, grants management, finance or related area.
Senior level: Bachelor's degree + 2 years of progressively responsible professional experience.
Principal level: Bachelor's degree + 3 years of progressively responsible professional experience; or a combination of education and experience may be substituted for the degree on a year‑for‑year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in business, accounting, public administration or related area
Experience with post‑award grants management, including financial oversight, reconciliations, projections, and award closeout
Experience managing federal sponsored awards (NIH, NSF, DoD) and knowledge of Uniform Guidance and sponsor‑specific policies
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, complex spreadsheets)
Experience in academic, medical, or research institutions
Advanced experience with post‑award financial analysis: forecasting, variance analysis, cost transfers, compliance monitoring
Ability to work independently, prioritize competing deadlines, and provide guidance to faculty and leadership
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Effective written and oral communication
Establish and maintain effective working relationships across the institution
Outstanding customer service skills
Commitment to leadership and continuous improvement
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, complex spreadsheets for grants management and forecasting)
