Wage: $21.13/hour (Competitive)

The Accounting Clerk I is responsible for general ledger transactions, and balancing, and item processing. This position processes various general ledger entries and performs multiple support functions as required as a part of the accounting and record-keeping functions of the credit union. This position requires the ability to work effectively with others on a standard task, to take actions that respect the needs and contributions of others, and the ability to work independently.
Essential Job Functions:
Focus on Purpose/Mission: Focuses on the Credit Union's Purpose and Mission Statement of creating financial wellness in our community through personal, everyday banking.
Attention to Detail: Perform daily general ledger transactions and reporting support to the accounting team. Collaborative: Supports Item Processing for ACH, Draft, and Wires.
Focused, Decision Making, and Problem-Solving: Process adjustments and exceptions for share drafts, ACH (both ODFI and RDFI), cash letters, and shared branching, returns, and return check items.
Engaged and Collaborative: Supports supply ordering for the credit union. Support item processing for ACH, drafts, and wires.

Core Process, Policy, and Procedure Review: Follows all company processes, policies, and procedures, including customer identification and all BSA requirements.

Requirements:
An associate degree in accounting or commensurate experience in a financial institution
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel (formulas, functions, etc.)
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word
