What You'll Do
As a key member of the warehouse team, you'll be responsible for the accurate and efficient flow of materials throughout the facility. Your day will include:
Receiving incoming deliveries, verifying quantities, and inspecting materials for quality and accuracy
Safely loading and unloading trucks using pallet jacks, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment
Transporting materials to the correct storage, shipping, or production areas
Organizing and staging materials to support smooth shipping and receiving operations
Maintaining accurate documentation and inventory records
Assisting with light maintenance or production support tasks during slower periods
Keeping the warehouse clean, orderly, and dust-free at all times
Following all safety procedures to ensure a safe, efficient workspace
Taking initiative to identify tasks and stay productive with minimal supervision
What We're Looking For
At least 6 months of warehouse or material-handling experience
Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes
Experience operating pallet jacks; forklift experience strongly preferred
Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
A self-motivated, reliable individual who takes pride in their work
Nice to Have
Experience working with storage racks and organized inventory systems
Comfort navigating a large, open warehouse environment
Flexibility to assist with warehouse, maintenance, or production tasks as needed
Dependable attendance and punctuality for a consistent first-shift schedule

Work Environment
You'll work in a large, well-organized, temperature-controlled warehouse featuring extensive storage racks in a maze-like layout. The facility is exceptionally clean and dust-free, designed for both comfort and safety. A smock is worn to reduce static, and you'll regularly use pallet jacks and forklifts in a structured, safety-focused setting.
Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Portland, ME.
Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
