Compensation: Per negotiated contract, Licensed Salary Schedule (Salary Range $56,530.85 - $104,459.67; DOE)

FTE: 1.0 (one day per week, 8 hours per day)

General Duties
In alignment with the NWRESD mission, the role evaluates and provides occupational therapy services to children with mental and/or physical disabilities who are on a current Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP). The position also provides consultative and direct service in assistive technology.
Qualifications
Valid state of Oregon Occupational Therapy license.
Bachelor's degree from a four‑year college or university.
Minimum of two years of experience working with children.
Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) certification through RESNA preferred.
Valid Driver's License; available transportation and proof of auto insurance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Confer regularly with immediate supervisor.
Proficiency in computer and internet‑based applications, including email, internet software, Google Suite, and MS Word.
Ability to deliver oral presentations and written reports, including OT assessments, and parent & staff training on topics such as self‑regulation, sensory‑processing, fine motor and adaptive skills.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with children, students, parents, staff, administration, and community partners.
Essential Functions
Work collaboratively with parents and staff to support the total educational program and attend related meetings.
Evaluate children to identify the need for occupational therapy services and determine type/level of service.
Interpret data to design a treatment plan and re‑evaluate plan annually via IEP or IFSP; reevaluate eligibility as needed.
Implement treatment plan for individuals or groups; provide training to instructional assistants and others.
Maintain accurate records of students evaluated and served, including assessment results, IEP/IFSP progress, and other documentation.
Confer with other professionals and general staff members to coordinate, schedule, and implement therapy goals and objectives.
Serve as a resource for medically related information for parents, school staff, and teachers.
Consult and collaborate with teachers and other specialists regarding appropriate motor activities, self‑help skills, sensory needs, adaptations, and special equipment or assistive devices as necessary.
Maintain communication with other professionals, parents, and agencies related to the child's needs, progress, and safety.
Train special education and general education staff, parents, and other team members on specific interventions.
Fabricate and adapt specialized materials and devices to assist children in their education.
Complete all district and state reporting requirements, including documentation of services provided using approved platforms such as ecWeb or SPED.
Perform duties related to operation of the occupational therapy department, such as maintaining inventory and ordering supplies or equipment.
Keep current standards of practice to provide the best service to the child and maintain professional growth and development.
Perform other job duties as assigned.
