Brief Job Overview/Summary
The School of Arts & Humanities is expanding its pool of qualified adjunct (part‑time) instructors. Opportunities may exist to teach a flexible schedule that may include teaching assignments during days and evenings. Services are contracted on a semester/term basis. The Stockton University Visual Arts Program on the Stockton Galloway campus seeks adjunct instructors to teach 2000‑level Illustration 1 and 3000‑level Illustration Practices courses. Classes are 2.5 hours and meet twice a week, with time slots on Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 am to 11:00 am, 11:20 am to 1:50 pm, 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm or 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm. While all services are contracted on a semester/term basis, these courses are part of the core Visual Arts Curriculum, and successful candidates will be considered for ongoing and consistently scheduled teaching opportunities.
Descriptions of Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate courses as scheduled
Access student work and provide timely feedback
Use Blackboard (the Learning Management System) to support the course
Support Stockton University’s strong student-centered vision and mission
Required Qualifications
M.F.A. degree in subject or related field
Previous college-level teaching experience in subject area or related field
