
Travel Physical Therapy Assistant Job

Physical Therapy Assistant – Travel Assignment – Saint Charles, Missouri – Start June 15, 2026 – 13 weeks – $1,422 – $1,448 per week – Guaranteed hours: 0.0 – 8‑hour days – Long‑term care / skilled nursing setting
Responsibilities
Implement components of patient care under the supervision of a Physical Therapist; collect data related to treatments and outcomes.
Assist in the treatment of patients across all ages, including guiding stretching and therapeutic exercises and balance training.
Read and follow instructions from the Physical Therapist; adjust care as necessary in collaboration with the PT.
Communicate effectively with patients and families to identify best at‑home techniques and approaches to support ongoing care.
Maintain a clean, organized therapy area; transport or move patients to and from therapy as needed; handle basic administrative tasks such as scheduling and documentation.
Document patient responses to treatment and contribute to progress notes; participate in care planning discussions with the PT.
Requirements
Active PTA license for Missouri (or a valid compact license eligible for Missouri practice) at time of submission.
CPR certification; BLS certification is required.
Minimum one year of PTA experience (travel assignment experience preferred); LTC or SNF experience required.
Ability to work 8‑hour day shifts in a travel assignment; no weekend shifts required.
Must be able to work in a long‑term care / skilled nursing setting and follow established infection control and safety procedures.
